Job Description

Our Graduate Program

Our goal is to build you up for success. Our 2-year Graduate Program is designed to provide you with comprehensive training and development opportunities. 

You will have the chance to work in a core business unit and explore different areas of our organisation through rotations. 

Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience in another division, enabling you to broaden your understanding of our operations and develop versatile skills. 

At the end of the program, you will be seamlessly transitioned into a permanent role at AusNet, aligned with your skills, capability, and chosen career pathway.

About the role

As a Procurement Graduate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our procurement department's daily operations and strategic initiatives. 

You will be exposed to a wide range of procurement activities, providing you with an exceptional learning experience and hands-on exposure to various procurement functions.

What you will deliver

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the best terms for the company.
  • Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify potential vendors and industry trends.
  • Process purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient procurement of goods and services.
  • Participate in supplier relationship management, fostering positive partnerships to enhance supplier performance and reliability.
  • Support in the implementation of cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
  • Stay updated with procurement best practices and industry advancements.
