Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asia Material Planning and Logistics Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring our contract manufacturers have the necessary materials to meet our production deadlines and managing our inventory processes from end to end. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional logistics management skills and be adept at conducting comprehensive inventory counts and reconciliations. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and is located in Asia with the flexibility to travel frequently within the region.

Requirements 

  • General knowledge to identify electronic components (Resistor, Capacitor, IC, etc)
  • Materials Management: Ensure all contract manufacturers have the materials they need to meet production deadlines. This includes forecasting material requirements, managing supply orders, and coordinating with the buying team to avoid shortages.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee all aspects of logistics including the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials and finished products. Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate quarterly comprehensive wall-to-wall inventory counts and reconciliations. Maintain accurate inventory records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure inventory accuracy at the contract manufacturers
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure a seamless supply chain process. Facilitate communication and resolve any issues that may affect production timelines for all materials in and leaving Asia. 
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics and inventory management practices comply with local regulations and company policies. Promote and enforce safety standards in all logistics and warehousing operations.
  • Travel: Travel frequently within Asia to oversee logistics operations, conduct site visits, and collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers.

Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Preferably experience in PCBA or electronic industry.
