Treasure levels up game builders. We empower games to reach their full potential through our community-driven ethos, publishing stack, and novel approach to game building that gives developers everything they need to be successful.

Since launching in September 2021, Treasure has become home to over 15+ games and counting to emerge as one of the leading gaming ecosystems in web3. Some of our leading titles include: The Beacon, Bitmates, Kaiju Cards, Knights of the Ether, Kuroro, Zeeverse, and Mighty Action Heroes. We also have our own in-house game studio working on developing its first flagship title based on the original Treasure IP!

We are the real deal in community-driven gaming and have over 300,000 community members playing our games today. Our community supports the entire game ecosystem to grow new titles and continue supporting more mature ones.

To build the best games community in the world for both players and developers. 

We strive to fulfill our mission through the launch of amazing games on top of the Treasure platform which supports the growth of developers and the communities that play their games and bring their hearts to support the development process. 

We are looking for a Community Manager to join the marketing team at Treasure for Smolbound and Darkbright Studios' first game title. In this role, you'll be wearing a lot of different hats while being front and center with the community. Most importantly, you will be responsible for managing the franchise and game’s community presence day-to-day and will work closely with a good group of humans to foster an engaged community of players, fans, creators, and builders.

As part of a small (but mighty) team, the ideal candidate to come into this role is someone who has been there, done that in a similar community management and development role with another game. As we work to build an exciting and ambitious new IP and insanely fun game, there will be unknowns and ambiguity along the way. Responsibilities

• Manage the Discord presence day-to-day and within other channels to engage existing audiences, drive new players and monitor community sentiment.

• Work closely with the franchise and game studio leads to release and promote content following up with feedback initiatives, ensuring the success of game pre-registration, playtests, alpha, and other major game milestones.

• Own Smolbound and Darkbright's social media presence across Twitter, Instagram, and other channels (Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and others) to grow our following and ensure high levels of community engagement;

• Maintain a consistent and holistic brand image, voice and tone across channels.

• Oversee and manage a roster of remote community moderators across multiple timezones to ensure global coverage and the adherence to rules/guidelines that support the growth of an inclusive, accessible, and fun community.

• Own and execute community activations and initiatives (Discord AMAs, Twitter Spaces, livestreams, contests, etc.) to drive engagement and growth.

• Attract and engage ambassadors and evangelists to drive a truly bottom-up and grassroots community.

• Support the organization and hosting of live online events (potentially future in-person activations in various markets around the USA and globally) - eg. conferences, meetups, socials, community calls, etc.

• Optimize processes and tooling used to manage and engage the Discord community.

• Work closely with leads to secure, organize, and manage ecosystem events to support our product teams and growth of the franchise.

• Leverage and contribute to team content calendars to manage/organize community engagement activities.

• Find solutions to issues that may arise in the community and create strategies for conflict resolution.

• Research, define, and track key metrics and OKRs/ KPIs to monitor the overall health and effectiveness of our community and player base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in game community management.

• Interpersonal effectiveness and ability to manage both positive and critical feedback professionally.

• Experience building and fostering community via platforms like Discord, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit.

• Desire to unleash all your creativity, positivity and unique perspective on the daily.

• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage conflict.

• Ability to work autonomously, set agenda and prioritize work with minimal input.

• Ability to collaborate and communicate across a global team.

• You are comfortable working remotely with a global team and a global community, across global timezones, in English and potentially in multiple other languages.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge and excitement about the potential for web3, blockchain technology, and NFTs to transform gaming.

• Located in North America in Eastern Standard Time (EST) or close timezones (CST or PST).

• Event planning experience.

• Prior knowledge of Treasure and its gaming ecosystem.

• Experience working with a distributed and global team.
