Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management
  • Supervise, train, and motivate a diverse team, including maintenance staff and resident assistants.
  • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in student housing best practices, conflict resolution, and customer service.
  • Property Operations
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, including maintenance, move-ins/move-outs, and resident relations.
  • Implement and maintain high standards for property cleanliness, safety, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and address any issues promptly and proactively.
  • Financial Oversight
  • Manage the property’s operating budget, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee rent collection, minimize delinquencies, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize revenue and control expenses without compromising resident satisfaction.
  • Resident Experience and Community Building
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where student residents feel supported and valued.
  • Organize events and programs to enhance the student living experience, such as academic workshops, wellness activities, and social gatherings.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for resident concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Analyze market trends and student housing needs to recommend property improvements and operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term planning for property performance and resident satisfaction.


Qualifications:
  • 4-5 years of Property Management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in student housing.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing large-scale properties.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Expertise in leasing and occupancy management for student housing cycles.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Entrata, Appfolio, or Yardi).
  • In-depth knowledge of fair housing laws, safety regulations, and student housing best practices.


$70,000 - $90,000 a year
