Summary of Job Duties:

COEHP Honor Peer Mentors will help COEHP Honors first-year students successfully transition to life at the University of Arkansas. Peer Mentors work closely with students in COEHP Honors sections of UNIV 100H1 by leading class activities and discussions and serving as an on-campus connection and point of information for new students. In this role, peer mentors will assist students in getting acquainted with the UA campus, the resources/opportunities available to them, and the benefits that come with being a COEHP Honors student.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current COEHP Honors student in good standing (not on probation)

• Must have completed at least one year at University of Arkansas Fayetteville and have at least 30 credit hours by the start of duties

• Must be able to attend one section of UNIV 100H1 during the first eight weeks of the fall 2025 semester

Preferred Qualifications:

• Junior/senior UA student status

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Skill in communicating effectively both in oral and written form

• Strong Interpersonal skills
