We seek a passionate and skilled Virtual Spanish Teacher to teach Spanish 101 to a small group of highly motivated high school students for the full school year.Job Summary:The Virtual Spanish Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Spanish 101 lessons to a small group of three high school students. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Spanish and be adept at creating a dynamic online learning environment. This role requires a commitment to student success and a creative approach to virtual instruction.Key Responsibilities:• Instruction: Teach Spanish 101 in a synchronous virtual classroom setting. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cover fundamental Spanish language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, and basic conversation.• Lesson Planning: Create and execute lesson plans that are interactive and tailored to the needs of high school students. Utilize various online tools and resources to enhance learning.• Student Engagement: Foster a positive and interactive virtual classroom environment. Encourage participation and maintain high levels of student engagement.• Assessment: Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback. Conduct assessments to evaluate students' understanding and progress in the course.• Communication: Maintain regular communication with students and provide support as needed. Be available for virtual office hours or additional support if required.Requirements:• Education: Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification or equivalent experience preferred.• Experience: Previous experience teaching Spanish, preferably at the high school level. Experience with virtual or online teaching is highly desirable.• Skills: Strong proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken. Excellent communication skills and the ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.• Technical Requirements: Reliable access to a computer with a stable internet connection and familiarity with virtual classroom tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).• Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated to fostering a positive learning experience. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
