Description du poste

Le Studio Ubisoft Montpellier recherche son ou sa futur·e Senior Lighting Artist, pour le projet BGE2. Son rôle sera de concevoir et réaliser les différents niveaux d’éclairage en temps réel.
Sous la supervision de la direction artistique, créative et technique, vous aurez la responsabilité de sublimer les environnements extérieurs, intérieurs et les cinématiques de notre projet tout en soutenant son gameplay.

Missions

  • Produire des éclairages de haute qualité en respectant les contraintes techniques et artistiques.
  • Optimiser le travail en maintenant un équilibre entre qualité et performance.
  • Collaborer avec la direction créative et artistique pour atteindre l'ambiance visuelle souhaitée.
  • Être capable de résoudre des problèmes complexes liés à l’éclairage ainsi qu’aux développements des outils et des fonctionnalités de rendu de notre moteur propriétaire.
  • Être force de proposition pour aider à maintenir et améliorer nos pipelines et workflows.
  • Planifier, estimer et suivre l'avancement des tâches en utilisant les outils de suivi.
  • Travailler avec les parties prenantes pour améliorer le gameplay via l'éclairage.
  • Proposer des références artistiques pour enrichir l'aspect visuel du jeu.
  • Comprendre les documents de conception pour créer des niveaux en adéquation avec les objectifs et le style du jeu.

Qualifications

Compétences et connaissances

  • Excellente compréhension des fondamentaux du lighting et de la théorie des couleurs.
  • Bonne connaissance des moteurs de jeu (Unreal ou idéalement des moteurs maison) et des processus de production du secteur.
  • Connaissance des logiciels et des principes de gestion de la charge de travail (par exemple Jira).
  • Excellente compréhension du lighting en temps réel (Real-time GI, PBR rendering pipeline…).
  • Connaissance des post-process les plus utilisés dans l’industrie.
  • Une affinité technique est demandée.
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement multiculturel, en français ou en anglais.
  • Excellentes compétences en matière de relations interpersonnelles et de communication.
  • Être autonome et capable de travailler au sein d’une large équipe.

Expérience pertinente

  • Expérience significative en tant que Lighting Artist en temps réel.
  • Avoir participé à la production d’un ou plusieurs jeux en tant que Lighting Artist ou avoir travaillé sur un cycle de projet complet sur des jeux de type “AAA” pour consoles.
  • Expérience de travail sur un jeu visuellement réaliste.
