The Poo-sition

TUSHY creates and sells beautifully-designed, innovative, and sustainable products for the bathroom. We are seeking a UX designer to manage the new website Hellotusy.com and our amazon site. You will report to the Design Director and work closely with marketing, our web project manager and developers. You will manage 1-2 designers. This is an amazing opportunity to help translate our new brand into amazing UI/UX systems that will delight and engage customers.

Your Doody

Manage project timelines for the design team
Mentor the less experienced graphic designers to learn UI/UX by providing guidance and feedback while identifying opportunities for career growth
Lead UX/UI strategy including content modeling & design, information architecture, user research, benchmarking, and wireframing
Help to define digital product deliverables and identify process improvements
Develop UX designs that align with user needs and long-term business goals
Work alongside product and project managers in synthesizing requests and requirements from stakeholders and determining key deadlines
Brief design team on UX/UI-related tasks and approve digital designers’ work
Lead in QA testing of digital products from audience and end user POV
Manage individual workload, milestones, deadlines, and asking imperative questions needed to bring projects from concept to completion in partnership with the Project Manager
Ingest and translate analytics from end user audits, creating actionable steps for improving experience
Receive, digest, and incorporate moodboards, sketches, and direction from the Design Director and Art Director
Responsible for sharing specific high-level projects, developing a rapport, and communicating design choices and direction, with colleagues
Bring a unique point of view, style, creative strengths, skill sets, and experience to each project

Requirements

Must have 5-7 years of experience designing for UI/UX at a successful, rapidly-growing e-commerce companies
2+ years managing designers
Expertise in:
UI/UX Principles
Proven UX Testing methodology on a few e-commerce brands
Rapid prototyping
Must have a candid demeanor
Proven ability to evaluate risks, make decisions and give honest feedback and criticism
B.S. in graphic design, UI/UX or related area of study.
Love collaborating with internal partners (marketing, designers, C-Team, etc.) and external partners (numerous Shopify apps)
A track record of hitting key website customer conversion metrics
Bonus nice-to-have: a deep appreciation for bidets and toilet humor
