CMT Soil Lab Technician

UES is looking for a CMT Soil Lab Technician to assist with construction materials testing (CMT) and sample tracking of materials used in exciting projects from infrastructure to hi-rises around the Dallas area! As a soil lab technician, you will provide a vital step in the overall building process, ensuring that the structural materials used during construction meet all necessary quality benchmarks. This can be a physically demanding position; the team member must respectively lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently carry up to 10 lbs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collection of samples
  • Observations
  • Perform QA tests
  • Report Writing
  • Moisture content tests
  • Atterberg tests
  • Unconfined tests
  • Minus 200 tests
  • pH tests
  • Swell tests
  • Hand penetrometer
  • Soil identification and classification


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The team member must respectively lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently carry up to 10 lbs.
