Senior Mobile Software Engineer

The Impact You'll Make:

You'll help build our top-rated mobile app for millions of active users. You'll report to the Senior Engineer Manager as part of an agile and collaborative team of developers.

  • Work with other mobile app developers and our back-end team to deliver new features intended to improve retention

  • Identify challenges in the development process to reduce developer friction

  • Participate in architecture discussions and help improve the foundation of our mobile platform

What You Should Have:

  • 3+ years of software engineering

  • Proficiency in Kotlin Multiplatform

  • Proficiency in Android Development

  • Advanced debugging skills

  • Experience using Jetpack Compose

  • Collaboration and partnership skills

Tools We Use:

  • Kotlin Multiplatform

  • Swift

  • Jetpack Compose, XML, SwiftUI, UIKit

  • Google Maps SDK

  • Coroutines, MVI

  • Dependency Injection

Location:

This is a hybrid role based in one of our Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC office. To start, in-office attendance is required twice a week, and it may increase based on project-based needs and/or changes in Upside's in-office policy

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $175,000 + equity + benefits. The final starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
