Role: Sales Engineer

Vic.ai is a rapidly growing AI-based SaaS platform for finance teams, and we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. You will serve as a technical expert, solution consultant, and trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle. This role blends technical acumen, customer-facing communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What you’ll do:

Pre-Sales Support

  • Collaborate with account executives to understand customer needs, challenges, and goals.

  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations that articulate Vic.ai’s value.

  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with tailored technical information.

Solution Design & Consulting

  • Partner with prospective customers to identify the best solutions for their unique use cases.

  • Map Vic.ai’s capabilities to customer requirements, addressing technical concerns and objections.

  • Assist in creating proof-of-concept (POC) implementations to validate solutions for customers.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Act as a bridge between sales, product, and engineering teams, communicating customer feedback and market insights.

  • Contribute to the development of sales materials, such as technical FAQs, demo scripts, and configuration guides.

 Post-Sales Handoff

  • Ensure smooth transitions to implementation teams by documenting customer needs and technical agreements.

  • Provide initial technical guidance during onboarding as needed.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3–5 years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or similar technical customer-facing role.

  • Proven ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience selling software to large enterprises.

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, APIs, and enterprise software integrations.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to engage both end-users and the C-Suite.

  • Ability to see and present “the Big Picture,” uncover business challenges, and architect solutions to solve customer issues.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Positive attitude, customer focus, and a strong sense of ownership over customer results.

  • Willingness to travel and work in either Raleigh, NC or Miami, FL for a few days each month, with potential travel to customer locations throughout the US.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML-based products or automation platforms.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and accounting workflows.

  • Experience working with financial technology or accounting software is a strong plus.
