Job Description

The Operational Performance Metrics team translates business requirements into insightful reports and dashboards for a variety of internal stakeholders.  We provide the Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Driven Insights to track progress against goals, projects, process improvements, and compliance.

This an individual contributor role that requires someone with strong data analysis and communication skills that can liaise with engineers, product teams, and senior leadership to capture a broad set of data inputs, and report them succinctly to leadership, regulators and various stakeholders throughout Visa. The scope includes a number of high-visibility, time-sensitive reporting responsibilities with a key focus on bringing transparency, critical thinking, and sound rationale to support discussion and decision-making at the executive level.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the delivery of Operational Metrics to internal teams, bank and federal auditors, and support the remediation of audit findings related to reporting processes.
  • Support the completion, consistency, quality, and timely delivery of outcomes to business stakeholders.
  • Help define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with business objectives and assist in the aggregation of data and reporting of performance metrics across the Operations & Infrastructure (O&I) organization.
  • Contribute to the development of solutions to capture metrics across various systems within the Infrastructure technology stack, including metrics related to transaction loss and availability, Incident, Program and Change Management, IT Disaster Recovery, Data Center Performance, and Program Management, CMDB.
  • Assist in defining requirements and translating business requirements to help design systems, applications, or process designs within Operations & Infrastructure (O&I) and other business organizations.
  • Gain an understanding of business and technical terminology related to Continuous Improvement, KPIs, Metrics, Dashboards, Trending, and Target Setting.
  • Collaborate with Client Support teams to benchmark Visa services' OLA performance and assist in performing risk analysis for SLAs and OLAs

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Experience in large technology organization working in a reporting and business intelligence function
• University Recruiting Only: Master’s Degree without experience
• Should have presentation skills, especially in visualizing complex data into simplified insights.
• Highly Adept at Microsoft PowerBI, PowerAutomate and SQL. Experience building virtual agents
• Flexible to adjust to changing needs and able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to leadership and skilled in story-telling with metrics.
• Experience in assisting with large-scale projects to refine deliverables for leadership consumption.
• Experience combining datasets to derive meaningful insights regarding technology infrastructure footprint.
• Experience analyzing, creating proof of concepts, designing, developing, and customizing reporting solutions, and assisting engineers with their development.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 95,200.00 to 134,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
