Visa’s Global Corporate Affairs Communications team is seeking a Manager to help bring Visa’s purpose to life externally for government, social impact and sustainability audiences. The ideal candidate will join a team of driven communicators who develop stories that strengthen Visa’s reputation and brand. The Global Corporate Affairs team at Visa is comprised of the Communications, Government Engagement, and Social Impact and Sustainability teams, and our mission is to communicate the value of our business to our key audiences.
As Manager, you will play a key, strategic role helping manage global operations and driving strategic initiatives while coordinating across U.S. and internationally based Global Government Engagement, Global Social Impact and Sustainability, and regional communications teams. You will be managing content development, supporting global policy events and speaking engagements for key executives, developing and maintaining messaging and leading reporting and measurement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in global policy issues and purpose-driven partnerships. They will exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and have a can-do attitude.
This position will report to the Director of Global Corporate Affairs Communications.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the day-to-day operations and organization of the Global Corporate Affairs Communications team.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at
least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,
JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years
of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•5+ years relevant communications experience
•Articulate, creative, motivated individual with a passion for communications,
government engagement and/or social impact
•Proactive self-starter – doesn’t wait for direction
•Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
•Detail oriented and organized, with strong research skills
•Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Comfortable collaborating across time zones and countries – you will be
working with communications and business partner colleagues around the
world
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
