Job Description

The Sales Engineer Analyst position is a part of the Visa Acceptance Solutions (Cybersource) – North America team. This esteemed role within the sales organization calls for a unique blend of sales ability and technical aptitude. As a key contributor to the success of the Indirect (Merchant) Sales organization, the Sales Engineer Analyst's primary responsibilities include conducting technical discovery calls, providing proof of value demonstrations, performing technical product deep-dives, showcasing API-based demonstrations, creating technical architecture diagrams, authoring technical best practices, documenting detailed solution requirements, and offering pre-sales support in a merchant-facing environment. Internally, this role involves interaction with various departments such as Indirect Sales & Account Management, Product & Solution Management, Solution Architects, Implementation Support, Client Services, and Marketing to communicate market feedback and industry trends. Light to moderate travel is required for attending sales meetings, conferences, merchant events, and internal training sessions.

Basic Qualifications

-2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

-3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
-3+ years of technical pre-sales experience within the payment industry.
-Previous experience working with indirect / alliance / channel merchants is preferred.
-Confident speaker with the ability to present, interact, and connect with executives, engineers, and other technical contacts.
-Natural ability to understand and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
-Ability to architect technical solutions in response to merchants' requirements.
-Must be self-driven, motivated, and eager to learn new technologies.
-Strong desire to improve and expand industry-related knowledge.
-Strong knowledge of CyberSource / Visa Acceptance solutions are a plus.
-Excellent at internal and external follow-ups and task management.
-Excellent verbal and communication skills.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent self-investigation, research, and troubleshooting skills.
-Technical background, including a BS degree in CS, CIS, or a related discipline.
-Ability to travel up to 35%.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel up to 35% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $100,400 to $147,800 USD per year, which includes potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
