Position Summary...What you'll do...Locations: Hoboken, NJ; Austin, TX; San Bruno, CA; Bentonville, ARPlease note this position is NOT a Data Analyst RoleWhat you'll do...The Walmart LocalFinds team is looking for a results-oriented Business Development Associate to identify, pursue, and close new SMB retailer selection in new market launches. You will be reporting to the SMB Territory Manager on the LocalFinds team and will be responsible for the acquisition of retailers for Walmart LocalFinds, as well as:• Pitching and clearly communicating the value of Walmart LocalFinds to small business owners in your assigned Territory.• Effectively following sales strategies & processes to meet your targets in your assigned Territory.• Use CRM & sales tools efficiently, following all processes to ensure accurate data tracking.• Meet and exceed daily, weekly, & monthly activity metrics including but not limited to cold calls, emails, meetings & pitches.• Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to incorporating feedback, with a commitment to continuous improvement each day.You'll Make an Impact by:• Executing the BD team's acquisition strategy to ensure high quality US SMB retailers join Local Marketplace.• Demonstrating a growth mindset and navigating in ambiguous environments within a highly matrixed organization.• Serving as a trusted thought partner to both retailers as well as internal team members, effectively communicating Seller priorities, challenges, and feedback to sales leadership.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience• 2+ years of customer-facing experience• 1+ years of experience in sales• 1+ years of experience in omni-channel merchandising• No fear of the phone• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; laptop provided• Strong task prioritization and ability to work independently• Self-motivated with high ownership• Effective written and verbal communication skills• Able to work both independentlyPreferred Qualifications:• Salesforce experience• HubSpot experience• Cold emailing/calling experience is a plusWe aren't looking for someone who ticks every single box on a page; we're looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.
