We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a key position to work on a GenAI chatbot application that delivers a conversational experience to support users' decision-making with agentic analytics and science solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Engage in software development and design.
  • Identify short- and long-term solutions.
  • Review and approve proposed solutions.
  • Implement new architectural patterns.
  • Perform design and code reviews.
  • Participate in ML model deployment and integration.
  • Leverage CI/CD best practices.
  • Implement test automation, automated deployments, model retraining, and monitoring.
  • Ensure successful deployment and continuous operation of ML systems and pipelines.
  • Gather information on business and production issues (e.g., issue, impact, criticality).
  • Perform root cause analysis to reduce future issues.
  • Engage support teams when needed.
  • Develop solutions and action plans.
  • Perform actions as designated in the plan.
  • Complete online documentation.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify business needs and implement necessary processes and practices.
  • Monitor progress and results.
  • Recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Adapt to competing demands and organizational changes.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in building mobile and desktop user experiences.
  • Proficiency in Python, responsible for code reviews and setting code quality standards.
  • Knowledge in text-to-SQL, text-to-Cypher, and GenAI prompt engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of front-end design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Expertise in React, React Native, Redux, TypeScript, and CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI, Fluent UI).
  • Experience with cloud-native technology and CI/CD practices.
  • Proficiency in API design, scaling applications, distributed systems, Python (ML, APIs, workflows), Cloud Platforms (Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Kafka, Airflow, and SQL.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
