The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, UX and art direction for web and app based creative. This role requires experience designing and scaling systems, implementing seasonal visual identities, prototyping, developing templates and Figma libraries, creating redlines for Dev, and collaborating with UX/UI and product partners using a blend of strong leadership and hands-on creative expertise.Key Responsibilities:Collaboration:• Ideate, create, high-fidelity prototypes, build libraries, develop templates, and implement digital design systems. Work with UX/UI and copywriting partners to build modules that live across our digital experiences.• Pursue ways that we can work better, faster.• Manage projects that are on-brief and polished, mitigating feedback, ultimately keeping workstreams on track.• Conduct walkthrough and trainings to the WCS team of designers, copywriters and operations on the requirements of a module and how to execute assets from the templates.Trend Analysis:• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behaviors to inform design decisions and maintain our brand's competitive edge.Quality Assurance:• Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the design and implementation process, ensuring that our digital experiences meet or exceed expectations.• Ensure work adhere to living design and on Walmart's brand• Pressure test and VQA ensuring content is displaying as intended• Maintaining the visual asset guideProject Oversight:• Manage high-profile design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, or related field and 5+ years designing for digital experiences in a senior role.• Working knowledge of HTML & CSS and After Effects.• Proven track record of creating successful digital design systems.• Exceptional portfolio showcasing design process and strategic thinking.• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and software including the Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Slides and sketch.• Understanding of responsive and adaptive design, and ADA compliancy• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate external artis partners and connect across Walmart Creative Studio.• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment leading design work.Reporting:• Reports to Director, Site & App Brand Design• Individual ContributorAt Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
