Fulfillment Assistant

Job Description:Fulfillment AssistantResponsibilities of this job include efficiently ordering, replenishing, and merchandising prepared foods products. Also, it involves executing regional promotions and ensuring inventory control. In addition, this role requires organizing promotional displays in accordance with OTS standards. Providing courteous and friendly service, maintaining a positive image, and following Standard Operating Procedures are all expected. Moreover, one must be available to perform other duties as required. Upholding core values, supporting store initiatives, and following health and safety regulations are also necessary.Responsibilities:• Obtains and restocks culinary necessities through proper procurement techniques.• Keeps a watchful eye on open PO and credit reports, executing necessary actions precisely and promptly.• A control specialist must be able to balance turn goals with the need to keep inventory fresh and avoid spoilage.• Provides accurate information on spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets to ensure regulatory compliance.• Offers backup for counter service and cooking assignments on schedule or at any required time.• Discusses buying requirements and troubles with the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Team Leader to ensure smooth operation.• Nurtures productive relationships with third-party vendors.• Cooperates with the Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader(s) to evaluate the recipe's cost.• Manages the special order process for customers based abroad.• Provides support to leaders for inventory control.• One of the main priorities for maintaining financial success is to meet and exceed targets for both purchasing and sales.• Arrives at the workplace promptly, appropriately attired, groomed, and ready to commence work; accomplishes all assigned shifts and attends mandatory training sessions and meetings as instructed.• Providing superior customer service means promptly addressing customers' needs in an effective manner, using suggestive selling strategies, and answering phone calls and pages courteously and promptly.• Boosts the potential for sales by implementing efficient and appropriate measures for organizing, storing, rotating, stocking, and advertising merchandise.• Conforms to the prescribed protocols and guidelines, such as those governing Weights and Measures, health and hygiene, and safe work procedures, to foster a safe and productive work environment.• Makes it a point to keep the working and shopping environment hygienic and well-sanitized, while also ensuring that all equipment is maintained according to WFM's stringent safety and cleanliness guidelines.• Assigned opening, mid-shift, and closing responsibilities are carried out to perfection to guarantee precision in pricing and signage.• Reporting safety hazards and violations in a timely manner is crucial.Acquiring relevant knowledge, honing skills, and exploiting latent abilities are all essential for career success:• Comprehensive grasp of all product-related elements that encompasses everything from design, sourcing, packaging, to the latest advancements and emerging trends in the marketplace.• The aptitude to craft and barter pricing bids.• Acquaintance with products, dietary information, and other learning areas is advantageous, and a readiness to obtain more information is essential.• Possessing a working knowledge of Prepared Foods merchandising requirements and effectively utilizing it in all related tasks.• By implementing the WFM margin program effectively, a company can improve its profitability by reducing expenses and increasing sales.• Being able to provide comprehensive product knowledge to a team and showcasing enthusiasm is indispensable.• Expertise in foundational mathematical knowledge.• Competence and efficiency in operating computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order management systems.• Displaying exceptional communication competencies and evincing a readiness to collaborate effectively with colleagues.• The capability to articulate information clearly and respectfully to coworkers, customers, and suppliers.• Delivering customer service that meets expectations and standards is vital in all communication with customers, vendors, and Team Members.• Effective time management and the ability to follow procedures are crucial characteristics of a productive and successful person, regardless of the profession.• At Whole Foods Market, there is a strong emphasis on the importance of natural and organic foods as part of a well-balanced diet.• The ability to work at a quick pace with diligence and determination as a result of having a strong work ethic.• Complying with WFM's quality targets is vital to creating a culture of excellence and maintaining the company's competitive advantage.Desired Work Experiences:• Professional background of more than a year in Merchandising/BuyingThis job involves physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and operating heavy machinery:• Candidates must possess the strength to lift loads of up to 50 pounds.• Employees are typically required to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.• To use one's hands effectively, it is required to be able to grasp things with precision, dexterously manipulate small objects, and exert the appropriate amount of strength to move items.• Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching are essential motions required for completing various tasks in a work setting.• Use of FDA-compliant cleaning products.• Gradual changes in temperature can be beneficial, but sudden fluctuations can be detrimental.
