Wolf & Badger is on a mission to make retail fair. Working to support our community of 2000+ independent designers from around the globe, we connect customers with ethically sourced fashion, design, home and beauty through our online marketplace and flagship stores in London, New York City and Los Angeles. We are a rapidly growing scale-up business, now entering an exciting new phase of growth and looking to expand our team of c.110 people currently located between London, Málaga, New York, Los Angeles. Overview

We are looking for a Creative/Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team based in Central London, to help drive awareness of the Wolf & Badger brand. You will be part of a fast-paced, high-performing team that loves the brand it represents. You will join us in our mission to make retail fair whilst keeping it fun.

This varied role will include:

  • Ownership: From conceptualisation to delivery, you’ll produce compelling image and video assets for various channels including web, email, social and print, across various teams.

  • Innovation: You’ll bring creativity and curiosity to develop the layout and design of creative content for our homepage, newsletters, paid advertising and social accounts. You’ll work closely with the CRM team to ensure consistent high-quality email content, as well as the PR team to communicate our brand across assets for our stores and events. 

  • Execution: You’ll play an essential part in the development of all Wolf & Badger visual elements. Using your expertise, you’ll maintain a coherent, consistent and dynamic design aesthetic, considering typography, iconography, and layout across all channels to elevate and communicate our brand identity. You’ll use performance insights to iterate on designs ensuring your assets have the desired impact.

  • Collaboration: Being the sole designer at a scale-up means lots of cross team collaboration. You’ll work with various stakeholders to update and design various assets such as brand information documents, business plans, event invitations, marketing catalogues, window vinyls for our stores and other video/print collateral. You should be comfortable following creative direction, and building upon ideas. 

  • Leadership: You’ll be a key custodian of the Wolf & Badger brand, sharing, developing and collaborating on designs and ideas with colleagues from across the business. You’ll stay up to date with the latest design trends to ensure the Wolf & Badger brand stays at the forefront of the ethical and independent retail industry.

The successful candidate will have a qualification in Graphic Design or a related field and will have significant work experience in a similar role supporting a Marketing team across digital channels including web, email and social. The role requires a self-motivated and creative individual who is comfortable owning projects from ideation to delivery. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, scale-up environment, where you’ll have the opportunity to translate your creativity and passion for design into meaningful, purpose driven work.

You should have:

  • A strong portfolio of brand and marketing work across multiple platforms and channels including both print and video content.
  • Experience creating assets for web and email, including email templates and homepage design. Some knowledge of HTML/CSS would be a bonus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere) and Figma. 
  • Good understanding of typography, hierarchy of messaging, colour and layout.
  • An eye for detail, ensuring assets produced are visually appealing and free from any errors.
  • Strong understanding of social media and the ability to create engaging images and videos with a clear message and narrative structure.
  • Ability to coordinate print production where necessary.
  • Understanding of what it takes to maintain a consistent visual brand identity across all print and digital channels.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to deliver assets autonomously and to tight deadlines, whilst working on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Confidence to work independently and get stuck in as the sole designer within a dynamic Marketing team.
  • Flexibility and constructive attitude to multiple amends and edits.
