There are many ways to get involved, from Employee Resource Groups to local outreach.Here’s the Gist:Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join the facilities team at our new location in Farmers Branch, TX. You will be responsible for owning and supporting the central utilities and mechanical systems essential to our materials manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cooling and heating systems, as well as cleanroom construction and operation. Advanced knowledge of HVAC and exhaust abatement systems will help ensure your success.The Day-to-Day• Provides engineering support for the operation and maintenance of facilities equipment.• Works with colleagues at other Wolfspeed facilities and the global engineering team to develop and implement standards.• Reviews and analyzes process and equipment data to ensure systems operate within specification.• Track and forecast utility system capacity based on factory demand projections. Develops plans to meet projected system demand needs while maintaining redundancy.• Successfully interface with internal business partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to sustain uninterrupted factory operations.• Provide project management of major and minor facility projects. Assist A/E firms during the design process and the Construction firms and/or its subcontractors in the installation of complex process equipment/systems, utility equipment/systems, building interiors, shell buildings and site improvements.This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline• 2-5 years experience in a mechanical engineering role in industrial facilities, preferably semiconductor manufacturing.• Experience in facilities engineering and proven track record in project management. Semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech manufacturing experience preferred.• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, mechanical engineering principles and systems: pumps, pneumatics, fans, air handling systems, industrial chilled water, heating, process piping, rotating equipment, vibration analysis, heat transfer and thermodynamics.This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
