Service Technician at CES Integrated

CES Integrated is a company based in Stevensville, MD, and services locations throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia. CES specializes in the design, installation, service, and monitoring of access control, video surveillance and recording, and intrusion detection systems, from basic standalone designs to the most technically sophisticated integrated solutions.

Summary/Objective:

The primary responsibilities of the Service Technicians are to service, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and related equipment. This role requires technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction for our commercial and institutional clients.

Pay: $52,000 - $83,000 per year

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup:

  • Install, program, and configure security systems as required, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control devices.
  • Perform wiring and cabling in compliance with safety and industry standards.
  • Ensure systems are properly integrated and functional upon completion.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for installed security systems.
  • Diagnose and repair technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Test system performance and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements.

Customer Support:

  • Provide clear instructions and training to customers on system use and features.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain positive relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Provide detailed service reports and feedback to the management team.
  • Properly record and submit signed work tickets for work performed for customers

Requirements:

  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Climb ladders (6 ft. routinely, 24 Ft. occasionally)
  • Proven experience as a Service Technician, Security Systems Installer, or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems, electrical systems, and networking.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in installation and repair.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in electronics, IT, or related fields are a plus.
  • Demonstrate ability to discover and change IP address for Laptop and other IP Devices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Possesses a clean driving record

  • Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to pass a background check
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Possesses a good driving record

Schedule:

  • 8 hours shift
  • Monday - Friday
