Product Designer, Growth Team

Company Description

Wolt is a technology company that makes it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to home or to the office. Our local commerce platform makes it easy for customers to order whatever they need on one app, for merchants to make additional sales, and for couriers to make meaningful earnings flexibly. To enable this, Wolt develops a wide range of technologies from local commerce platform to retail software and financial solutions, as well as operates its own grocery stores under the brand Wolt Market. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 27 countries today, 23 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

Wolt not only offers great apps to customers and partners, but is also developing a broad range of technologies and solutions. Our apps (iOS and Android) have the industry’s highest reviews, largely because of our customer-centric approach to how we build our products and operations. For example, our customer service team responds in a matter of minutes, in the customer’s own language.

So, why work at Wolt?

At Wolt, we’re about getting things done.

You’ll probably enjoy it here if you like taking ownership, developing yourself and being around friendly, humble and ambitious people. We work hard to make cities into better places, and it’s pretty cool seeing us grow every week. If you’re passionate about building things that just… work, Wolt might be for you.

The behind the scenes of Wolt is run by an awesome bunch of over 700+ planners, builders, designers and data crunchers. We call ourselves Product+, as we’re the very core of Wolt’s products, tools and platforms. To build our products, we work in over 60 cross-functional, independent and autonomous teams. Teams are made up of a mix of talented individuals: engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts, and product leads. Each team takes ownership for solving customer problems in the best possible way.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We want to have all sorts of people in our team – people like you and me, and people different from you and me. To be able to work with diverse teammates – when it comes to gender, age, ethnicity, life background, sexual orientation, political views, religion, or any other personal trait – we consciously aim to offer equal opportunity for everyone to work with us. This is because we believe diverse teams make the most thought-through decisions and build things in the most inclusive way.

Join us today to build Wolt together.

Job Description

We are looking for  Product Designer to join Wolt’s Support mission!

As the international side of Doordash business, Wolt is active in 26+ countries outside of the US and growing.

This role is perfect for a creative thinker who excels in turning ambiguous problems into tangible artifacts. As a design expert in creating delightful interaction design and visually stunning interface, you will inspire the organization through prototyping and storytelling to ensure the final work has maximized impact.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of design, data, and experimentation. You’ll be tackling high-impact projects, running A/B tests, and iterating quickly to enhance user experience and drive meaningful results across the app. Your work won’t just look good—it’ll need to perform well, too, which is why we’re looking for a designer who’s as comfortable interpreting data as they are sketching ideas.

📍This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Berlin, Helsinki or Stockholm

Qualifications

We’re excited about you because:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in designing customer products
  • You run hypothesis-driven design: since the team runs experiments throughout the app, you should be comfortable with hypothesis-driven work. This includes designing variations that may only be used temporarily or iteratively.
  • You understand metrics and data: you are familiar with using data to measure design effectiveness and adapt based on experiment results, rather than being attached to specific designs or outcomes.
  • You execute quick iterations: you are comfortable with rapid design iterations and be able to adjust designs quickly based on new data or stakeholder feedback.
  • You are resilient to Feedback: you show resilience and the ability to take constructive feedback (and sometimes differing opinions) in stride is crucial.
  • You design end-to-end both strategy and visuals for both mobile and web (wolt.com)
  • You are a strong communicator: you are comfortable working with stakeholders from operational to technical teams through your day-to-day interactions, storytelling, and communication design.
  • You enjoy collaborating across different functions and can inspire teams towards action and empathy for the user, working towards a shared vision and embracing opportunities for improvement.

How we design:

  • We listen carefully. The better we understand our users’ problems the better our solutions can be. It’s important for us to know we are solving for real people and not just the loudest voice in the room.
  • We love to collaborate. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and business folks to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges.
  • We own the problem space. You’ll provide the thought leadership to inspire and develop the right design direction. Together, you’ll solve problems and come up with solutions that live up to Wolt-grade and delight our users.
  • We begin with magic and work backwards. Imagine the way forward. You’ll establish a vision of the product area first, then work backward to make every step of the way a feasible reality with your team.

Additional Information

The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so feel free to apply as soon as you feel like hearing more about the position and potentially joining Wolt! Please kindly make sure to include your portfolio with your application.

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and equity. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
