Lead CX/UX Designer – Hybrid R0045328About the TeamWolters Kluwer’s Digital Experience Group (DXG) creates products and solutions for its business divisions which serve professionals in healthcare; tax and accounting; financial and corporate compliance; legal and regulatory; corporate performance and ESG sectors around the world. Our UX team collaborates closely with cross-functional product teams to solve complex customer and business problems in ways that our customers love, while also working for our business.About the RoleThe Lead CX/UX Designer is responsible for enhancing our customer-facing products and solutions within Wolters Kluwer’s Health Language portfolio and will be responsible for ensuring high quality output and alignment with business strategy. The Health Language applications are use-case specific workflow tools to help expedite the authoring, mapping, design and review of data. As the industry transitions to a value-based care model, we are committed to breaking down barriers and fostering trust through our Health Language offerings. Our products support both payers and providers, ensuring accurate billing and coding at the point of care. This role requires the ability to dive into product technical details, user journey mapping and flow diagrams to inform product features that can help our provider, vendor and health plan clients achieve their business and patient outcomes.This role also works in close collaboration with our DXG Centers of Excellence (CoEs), product management, content and technology teams, applying proven UX research and design practices and principles including leveraging our Product Design System and incorporating customer insights/data to develop optimal solutions that drive competitive advantage. This role requires a creative, energetic and adaptable problem-solver who can navigate complexity, act as a liaison among cross-functional teams and work quickly with high quality and consistency. The team needs a proactive strategic thinker who is extremely hands-on and has the ability to drive all aspects of UX research and design.Hybrid: Eight days a month we come together in our office to experience the value of connecting with colleagues. You will report to the Director, CX/UX Design - DXG | UX/CX COE and work under the leadership of the VP, User Experience & Design - DXG | UX/CX COE. This role is a part of Wolters Kluwer DXG U.S., Inc. | BU - DXG | UX/CX COEEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategy:• Understand business goals, user needs, and technical capabilities to inform the research and design of holistic and integrated solutions• Foster collaborative relationships with product teams and technology partners• Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, working with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent and excellent user experience that is validated by customers• Lead/co-lead visioning workshops with multidisciplinary teams of business, technology, content and user experience roles to shape strategic plansDesign:• Translate ideas into concepts, user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences for products in the Health Language portfolio• Work with cross-functional teams to define, improve and implement UX research and design best practices and processes• Work directly with development groups to ensure accurate implementation of designs• Manage multiple projects at various stages and prioritize tasks• Use and contribute to the WK design system to ensure consistency, efficiency and scalabilityResearch:• Identify research opportunities and appropriate research methods based on business objectives• Develop research plans collaboratively with the Product Manager and other team members• Lead research projects from start to finish, conducting research yourself and enabling product teams to get involved• Deliver actionable insights that are well-reasoned and presented with a high degree of qualityJob Qualifications• 10 years of experience working as a UX designer – ideally within an agile environment• Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university (or equivalent) in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communication & Multimedia Design/Media Technology, Information Architecture or related field• Familiar with principles of Lean Product and Lean UX• Have a deep understanding of typography, color, layout and motion design principles• Passionate about design, emerging technologies and problem solving• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, particularly in payer and provider sectors and experience with value-based care models and health language offerings preferred• Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and API integration• Expertise in interoperability standards and protocols, ensuring seamless data exchange across diverse healthcare systems• Both a self-starter and team-oriented, with a willingness to teach and learn; open to feedback and welcomes constructive criticism• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills• Ability to build trusted relationships and act as a liaison among the UX, product and technology teams to ensure standards of excellence are met• Experience working in distributed, collaborative teams• Ability to work with limited guidance and make decisions independently is a mustTechnical Skills• Experience working with design systems and familiar with creating UX patterns• Experience adhering to WCAG compliance and standards• In-depth knowledge of customer analytics tracking tools and customer research methods; adept at analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data• Mastered design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite• Knowledge of agile software development processes and experience with requirements management and complex projects• Work with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS3Your Portfolio• Your portfolio should demonstrate a track record of developing useful and intuitive interfaces for complex online applications• You should be prepared to speak about the processes used to develop your solutions and the specific role that you played in these processesAre you ready to shape the future of healthcare solutions?As a Lead CX/UX Designer on our Health Language portfolio, you’ll tackle complex challenges that improve trust, accuracy and efficiency at the point of care.
