Job DescriptionPRC Baker Places is a non-profit residential treatment agency that has provided the San Francisco community with alternatives to institutional care since 1964. Our direct care professionals provide counseling and case management services to previously homeless adults living with co-occurring diagnoses of chronic mental illness and substance use disorder. All agency services are provided from the philosophy of social rehabilitation which integrates teaching daily living skills in a safe and healthy environment.Mission Statement: Our mission is to help people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental health issues better realize opportunities by providing integrated legal, social and health services that address the broad range of social risk factors that impact wellness and limit potential.Values that Guide Us: Accountability, Honesty, Integrity, RespectPosition OverviewThe Project Director is responsible for the overall management, clinical and rehabilitation services, staffing, facilities, and fiscal operations of one or more adult residential treatment programs. The Project Director is responsible for relations within the agency between PRC-Baker Places and the community. The Project Director manages the flow of clients into and out of the programs and advocates for and responds to client’s treatment and rehabilitation needs. Ensures agency policies and procedures are followed and participates in their development.Position LocationHummingbird- PotreroPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a social milieu that is positive and respectful to all clients and staff.Develop ongoing expertise in delivering culturally competent services to a diverse population.Possess a working knowledge of psychiatric, substance use and HIV related disorders.Responsible for ensuring client diagnosis, assessment and plans of care are completed in a timely manner upon admission and over the course of treatment as required.Possess experience working with electronic medical record systems for documentation and assessment of clients (AVATAR/EPIC).Familiar with Mental Health Medi-Cal and/or Drug Medi-Cal waiver documentation standards.Guide/mentor residential care team in meeting client needs.Supervise Assistant Directors and ensure that all staff hired are trained and scheduled for regular supervision to agency and contractor requirements.Responsible to ensure the timely completion of probationary and annual performance evaluations of all personnel at the program.Work directly with community providers, in particular ZSFGH Emergency Department and Psychiatric Emergency Services at Hummingbird programs, to ensure consistent and safe client admission to the program and maintain contractual UOS production.Meet or exceed client outcomes consistent with contractual objectives.Ensure that client records, electronic and paper, are maintained in accordance with agency clinical and fiscal regulatory policy and standards.Work with Quality Management Department in monitoring and improving documentation quality and timeliness and training.Effectively and consistently use PRC-Baker Places Personnel Policies and the SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement in all staff encounters, actions and decisions.Conduct a weekly staff meeting where client and program issues are addressed and trainings occur.Prepare and submit all Baker Places-People Experience Department related forms and paperwork in a timely manner.Manage internal client food and program supplies.Responsible for ensuring the physical cleanliness of facility is maintained at a high level.Understand and demonstrate accountability to annual program budget.Ensure required admission, discharge and census documentation is submitted in a timely manner to PRC-Baker Places’ data and claims and intake departments.Attend agency management meetings and demonstrate initiative and participation.Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Social Science with focus on mental health and/or substance use disorder populations along with 4 years of managerial experience.Bachelor's Degree in Social Science with focus on mental health and/or substance use disorder populations along with 6 years of managerial experience.Demonstrated experience for 3 years in working with multiple community healthcare providers/systems.Demonstrated experience for 3 years supervising staff who deliver direct care services to individuals in treatment for mental health and/or substance use disorder care.Understanding of Social Rehabilitation treatment modality.Ability to hold, express, demonstrate, motivate and sustain agency vision and interact at the agency decision-making level and with the Senior Management Team.Experience in areas of program management including clinical, fiscal, personnel and facilities administration.Ability to provide leadership and to model cultural competence in working with diverse populations.Physical RequirementsMust be able to navigate several flights of stairs numerous times a day.Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Must be able to physically respond to clients' needs in the event of a crisis situation.Must be able to do extensive charting and documentation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
