Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is a Federal government contractor and provider of enterprise information technology (IT) services and solutions.  For more than 40 years, we’ve developed effective partnerships with government and industry to tackle business challenges and pressures for Federal Defense, Civilian, and Intelligence customers.  Abacus maintains core competencies in: IT Infrastructure Support, Network Operations and Maintenance, Communication Solutions, Systems Engineering and Integration, Cyber Security / Information Assurance, Application Development, Program Management, and Business Transformation.

 

Abacus Technology is seeking a Corporate Recruiter to assist in the day-to-day recruiting and hiring of technical, managerial, analytical, and administrative support staff.  This is a full-time position supporting multiple projects throughout the United States and overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Identify qualified candidates using various sourcing tools (job boards, social media, networking groups) and techniques (e.g. Boolean search). 
  • Conduct baseline phone screens with candidates and coordinate interviews with the hiring and program managers. 
  • Utilize LinkedIn and other social media sites to promote Abacus opportunities and upcoming hiring events. 
  • Maintain a candidate database with relevant information throughout the hiring process. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with candidates to create talent pipelines for current and future opportunities. 
  • Work closely with the Recruiting Manager to provide updates, discuss roadblocks, and establish priorities. 
  • Coordinate with corporate departments including HR, security, finance, business development, and proposal management as necessary. 
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and open houses.

Qualifications

2+ years experience in technical sourcing or recruiting.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired.  Experience with sourcing and recruiting for a wide range of IT, project management, and engineering positions across civilian, DoD, and Intelligence agency contracts.  Experience using an applicant tracking system such as iCIMS or something similar.  In-depth knowledge of the common terms and acronyms, technologies, and processes used by government agencies.  Great attitude and willingness to grow and develop.  Must be customer service oriented and work to understand the needs of our hiring managers as they work to grow and develop their programs.  Familiarity with MS Office.  May require some travel.  Must be a US citizen.
