Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:    

  • Exemplify and lead the Company Service and Brand Culture initiatives
  • Act as the Strategic Business Partner and functional Subject Matter Expert to Senior Hotel Leadership
  • Align and execute Talent & Culture activities to Employee Value Proposition and Strategic plan
  • Oversee talent & culture initiatives, acting as a liaison between corporate office and hotel
  • Collaborate with corporate Talent & Culture function on key programs/initiatives
  • Lead and oversee the day to day operation of the Talent & Culture Department
  • Lead labor relations initiatives
  • Promote positive employee relations, overall employee experience, and drive employee engagement through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and fun

Qualifications

  • 7 - 10 years’ experience as a Director, Talent & Culture/Human Resources (in both union and non-union settings)
  • Passionate  about promoting company values and creating programming that supports a positive workplace culture
  •  Previous experience leading multiple/clustered properties 
  • Collaborative team player, with excellent influencing skills with the ability to build relationships easily amongst various stakeholder groups
  • Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws, including California State Law
  • University/College degree in a related discipline, or combination of education and experience 
  • Proven success in leading strategic initiatives that positively impact hotel KPIs
