We hit $1M ARR in January of 2023, and just surpassed $3M ARR in June 📈.


This is an incredible opportunity to join a very fast growing startup as a product sales person. 


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our dynamic Sales team at beehiiv. As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals with potential buyers. 


This is a customer-facing role requiring personalized communication across various platforms, including 1:1 personalized email outreach, social media prospecting (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), and face-to-face interaction with potential customers. 


The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a strong sales aptitude, and a passion for technology.



Ideally you will have:

  • Proven track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B software or SaaS sales environment
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Account Executive or a similar role
  • Experience using Twitter and LinkedIn as a sales outreach tool
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to use, understand, and demonstrate software features and functionalities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives and key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate multiple decision-makers within an organization
  • Proficiency in using Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Nav, Apollo, and other sales productivity tools to manage leads, track activities, and report on sales performance
  • Genuine excitement about scaling a nascent platform 
  • An ownership mentality
  • Experience working at an email platform is a huge plus


What you will be responsible for


  • Negotiate and close deals, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing
  • Actively manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue potential
  • Prospect and generate leads through targeted outbound activities, including cold calling, networking, and leveraging referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of beehiiv’s suite of content tools, tailored to each prospect's specific requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product, to ensure a seamless and successful sales process
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contracts that effectively communicate the unique value proposition of our products and address customer pain points
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management in the CRM system
