Lead Product Manager - Customer Engagement & Education | Acorns

Acorns is seeking a proven Lead Product Manager to drive Engagement, Education, and Retention within our app. The Retention footprint includes but is not limited to Investment Products, Banking Products, Money Movement, Money Management, Education, Earning, Benefits, and more. Your work will have a huge impact on helping everyday Americans to save and invest. 

The ideal candidate combines analytical drive with a focus on KPIs, continuously improving customer experience, features, and engagement. You'll own the end-to-end subscriber journey, crafting strategies to drive healthy behaviors, maximize product value, and boost retention and LTV. From the moment a customer becomes a paid subscriber, you will own the entire relationship - ensuring that every customer gets the most they possibly can out of our product.

About the Team:

Product Managers own the roadmap, ensuring clarity and collaboration across design, engineering, marketing, and operations. They uphold high standards, simplify complexity, and inspire the team to achieve ambitious goals with a shared belief in our mission.

Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office spaces in Irvine, CA.

What you will do at Acorns:

  • Become familiar with our product development goals, processes, strategy, and vision at Acorns

  • Build strong relationships with engineering, design, analytics, research, and third-party partners, ensuring alignment and clear understanding of our vision, products, and progress across all teams

  • Ensure your team meets deadlines by holding them accountable and promptly addressing obstacles in their way 

  • Take responsibility for the outcomes including influencing and making effective team changes to maximize outcomes

  • Develop and execute strategies to educate customers on how to get the most out of Acorns, guiding them toward the best actions for their situations

  • Leverage data and instincts to shape product vision, define key success metrics, drive innovation, and plan roadmaps for new products and features that align with team and company objectives

  • Create a cohesive educational journey to improve retention, unify the customer experience across products, and identify opportunities to enhance and expand offerings.

  • Manage the backlog and day-to-day sprint-level needs of the engineering team and product team leaders

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing to drive product initiatives to completion

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $200,000 and $235,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
