Action is seeking a Full-Time Building Engineer to join our El Cortez property in San Diego.

 

Compensation: $36 per hour


What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
  • The Building Engineer II oversees the maintenance and repairs of common areas within the Association, ensuring compliance with governing documents. They manage daily building operations, ensuring adherence to HOA policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include optimizing performance of building systems like mechanical, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC, coordinating with external contractors, and planning preventative maintenance. Additionally, they collaborate with the General Manager on system improvements and modifications.


Who You Are (Skills/Experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience preferably in property management, hospitality or commercial property management.
  • Familiar with the Uniform Commercial Building Code
  • HOA experience is a plus
  • Hands on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting experience.
  • Fire system management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Team player attitude
  • Must be available by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies

Certifications/Licenses:
  • HVAC Certification
  • EPA/608 License
  • Fire Pump Certificate preferred
  • Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred
  • Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance


$36 - $36 an hour
