AFCA are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager - Finance Business Partnering 12-month maternity leave cover, as a key support to the Head of Finance through leading and overseeing the organisational budget and forecast process, monthly AFCA wide results commentary and analysis, preparation and analysis of the annual pricing review to be approved by the board and annual calculation the AFCA user charge distribution amongst members (financial firms).

The role also provides key support to the business and wider Finance team through leading and coaching the team of finance business partners and analysts in providing effective reporting and analysis to enable better decision making, maximise performance and manage cost.  This role has 5 direct reports and works close with the Financial Accounting team, senior leadership group, corporate service leadership group, operational and cross functional teams, service providers, external auditors and the members (financial firms).

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualified in either Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Proven experience leading budgeting and forecasting process across a large complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role with exposure to multiple facets of the finance function. Experience leading an FP&A team desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft D365 FinOps, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Hyperion, TM, or Jedox and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high-level of numeracy and accuracy.
  • Exceptional people skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
