Business Applications Project Manager

The Business Applications Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects related to the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of business applications across the organization. This role oversees the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT, and business applications teams, to ensure successful project outcomes that meet business requirements. 


Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects related to the implementation and improvement of business applications, such as ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems 
  • Develop project plans, including scope, timeline, resource allocation, and budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives 
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure clear communication of project goals and expectations 
  • Work closely with the business applications and IT teams to ensure technical feasibility and appropriate allocation of resources 
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and take corrective action as needed to keep the project on track 
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business needs through rigorous testing and validation processes 
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, including key metrics on progress, risks, and budget adherence 
  • Facilitate communication between functional, technical, and vendor teams to ensure all parties are aligned on project goals and deliverables 
  • Manage changes in project scope, timelines, and budget with agility, ensuring that all changes are approved and documented 
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for future improvement 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering collaboration and ensuring the successful execution of project tasks 
  • Other job duties as assigned 


Qualifications
  • Minimum Required – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or 5+ years experience in project management 
  • Preferred – PMP certified or 7+ years of experience in project management, specifically in business applications or IT-related projects 
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in managing complex business application projects 
  • Proficiency with standard project management artifacts and documentation 
  • Strong understanding of business applications; experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite preferred 
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models 
  • Proficiency with Jira for project management and task tracking 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project outcomes 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail 
  • Experience in budget management and cost tracking 
  • Knowledge of change management principles is a plus 


$115,000 - $130,000 a year

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
