AHRC NYC is looking for a Program Enrollment Specialist for their Manhattan and Staten Island Employment Business Services (EBS) programs. The position will require time based in both Manhattan and Staten Island depending on the status of meeting required participant numbers.
The goal for the Program Enrollment Specialist is to recruit qualified individuals for different EBS program units. The Program Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for developing relationships in the community and with funding sources that will lead to potential program applicants. The person should have strong knowledge of the community resources and media resources for recruitment. The Program Enrollment Specialist will also serve as a liaison between referral sources and EBS, coordinating pre-screening and assessing potential candidates.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Program Enrollment Specialist will maintain regular contact with EBS Managers in-order to create a monthly list of programs’ enrollment requirements. Establishing relationships is essential for this position in-order to find and secure qualified and eligible referrals to fill program vacancies.
Current specific recruitment targets will be provided based on enrollment requirements. Since extensive relationships development takes time, it is expected that 2 to 3 months will be needed to establish connections and start recruitment.
Recruitment of individuals supported in our programs is the main responsibility for this position. We routinely enroll new individuals into all our program’s units on a rolling basis in-order to fulfil contractual obligations. Specific priority programs and targets will be provided as needed.
Once fully oriented into the new role, expectations are that this person will be able to develop quality relationships leading to a strong qualified applicant pool. It is expected that this person will work collaboratively with the EBS managers to ensure that all program enrollments are filled. Perform other duties as assigned.
§ Bachelor’s in Arts or Science,
§ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
§ Experience with people with disabilities/youth a plus.
§ Ability to work collaboratively with other Managers and Employment & Community Service Coordinators to develop and maintain sites, disseminate information, and provide top quality customer service to all EBS customers.
§ NYS driver’s license preferred. Must have clear driving record.
