Privacy Managers continue to build upon their depth of knowledge and use specialized expertise in privacy, negotiations, and influence with stakeholders. They are good communicators, regularly presenting to leadership in partnership with senior leaders, and are capable of addressing both large and small audiences across multiple leadership levels and functions.A Typical Day:As a key member of the Privacy team, you will partner with other privacy professionals across the company to:• Lead initiatives to ensure that privacy policies, processes and approaches are embedded in the day-to-day operations of the Airbnb business.• Provide decision support and guidance, including data gathering, advanced information analysis, and presenting well-considered recommendations to relevant stakeholders.• Identify and help resolve privacy issues across Airbnb stakeholders. Consult with the Privacy team on delivery and refer actions to relevant subject matter experts as needed.• Recommends programs and initiatives that drive positive impact across a range of business, operational, project, and technical activities.• Collaborates with privacy experts and business leaders to support the acceleration of privacy integration into the business. Assist in identifying collaboration opportunities and contributing to determining the best path forward.• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks that impact the business and/or other areas of the privacy team and cross-functional stakeholders. Contribute to risk assessment and collaborate with relevant teams to implement mitigation strategies.Your Expertise:• 4+ years experience in the privacy space preferably in a global B2C technology company.• Excellent collaboration, partnership and influencing skills with the ability to work in a global environment across multiple locations and time zones to drive consensus and deliver results in cross-functional teams.• Demonstrated interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication ability to interface well with technical, operations and business partners at all levels.• Work successfully with product and engineering teams to define requirements, contribute to technical tool selection, and actively participate in the implementation process.• Proven ability to effectively translate complex policy and business requirements into actionable solutions, working closely with diverse levels of business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.• Proven track record of effectively conducting privacy reviews and establishing successful partnerships with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.• Strong time management and prioritization capabilities.• Basic understanding of strategy development concepts and demonstrate an interest in program management.• Innate capability to, directly and indirectly, lead cross-functional teams through success.Your Location:This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
