Position Overview

The Instructor will provide educational support to the Faculty, Staff, and Student Development (FSSD) program at the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC). This position involves developing and delivering curriculum that meets college-level instructional standards, supporting active-duty and reserve service members from all military branches. The Instructor will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in curriculum development, employing advanced educational methodologies and technologies to enhance student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development and Evaluation
-Serve as a curriculum development SME, applying ISD/SAT models (e.g., ADDIE: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate).
-Design, develop, revise, and evaluate curriculum to incorporate new concepts and technologies.
-Collaborate with the FSSD supervisor to address and resolve curriculum development and evaluation challenges.
-Ensure technical information and educational materials are accurate, current, and effectively disseminated.
-Develop performance standards, goals, and evaluation metrics for curriculum development programs.
Instructional Quality Improvement
-Provide guidance and support to instructors on innovative teaching approaches and curriculum development strategies to improve student learning.
-Analyze student attrition rates and recommend corrective actions to improve outcomes.
-Develop and implement training programs to enhance instructors' preparation and teaching effectiveness.
-Evaluate training environments to ensure compliance with military and accreditation guidelines.
Educational Technology and Innovation
-Stay current with advancements in educational technology, techniques, and equipment through research, seminars, and continuing education.
-Recommend and implement technology-driven solutions to improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
-Provide training for teaching staff on the use of educational technologies and curriculum development techniques.
Program Evaluation and Reporting
-Conduct regular evaluations of curriculum development processes and outcomes.
-Report annually to the Instructional Delivery Department (IDD) Associate Dean on program goals, trends, and identified deficiencies, including recommended solutions.
-Develop and use follow-up surveys to assess the effectiveness of curriculum development initiatives.
Staff and Student Support
-Plan and schedule briefings and training sessions for staff and students on curriculum development and related topics.
-Serve as a consultant to staff on educational literature, curriculum strategies, and instructional techniques.
-Provide ongoing advice, counseling, and feedback to instructors to improve the quality of curriculum delivery.

-Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum development, instruction, or a related field.
-Expertise in ISD/SAT models and curriculum development methodologies (e.g., ADDIE).
