Use these rewards to support your wellbeing with spa services, gym memberships, sports, hobbies, pets and more.*Mental health support, including up to five free counseling sessions per year through the Amedisys Employee Assistance program.401(k) with a company match.Family support with infertility treatment coverage*, adoption reimbursement, paid parental and family caregiver leave.And more.Please note: Benefit eligibility can vary by position depending on shift status.• To participate, you must be enrolled in an Amedisys medical plan.Responsible for providing support and administrative assistance to the regional bereavement services program.Responsibilities• Supports development of regional resource libraries for use by chaplains, social workers, and bereavement coordinators.• Provides full logistics management and support (virtually) for local memorial services for hospice care centers.• Schedules and completes bereavement contacts.• Partners with mailing services team to ensure materials are sent out timely and documented for patients.• Schedules appointments and calls for moderate to high-risk bereavement activity for social workers and chaplains for assigned patients.• Provides coverage for virtual support programs and supports content and material development for bereavement program including digital and paper materials.• Develops and maintains the directory of community resources to support bereaved and those at risk of complicated grief. Provides input on new local or regional resources to central bereavement team.• Supports all logistics (virtually) and support for local care center memorial services and Trees in Memory program• Provides coverage or logistics support for low-risk bereavement outreach and support for virtual support groups hosted by Regional Hospice Bereavement Coordinators.• Supports Regional Bereavement Coordinators in monitoring compliance of Bereavement Care Plans.• Works with corporate bereavement support team and care center to plan, organize, and implement a memorial service for hospice contacts and community including at least one annual memorial service at each assigned care center.• Arranges sympathy cards, Trees in Memory Cards and Trees in Memory authorization forms with local care centers and mailing support team.• Ensures timely submission of Trees in Memory data from Regional Hospice Bereavement Coordinators and corporate support teams.• Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.• Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling and/or related field.• Knowledge of grief and bereavement counseling; understanding of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and their caregivers.• Must be familiar with general use and functions of computer; internet; e-mail; navigation/starting programs. Self-manage online HR services and training.Preferred• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Thanatology or related field or Pastoral education with documented evidence of training and experience in grief therapy and bereavement counseling.• Three (3) years' experience in family and/or individual counseling with additional training in grief and bereavementAmedisys is an equal opportunity employer.
