About the role

Join ANDY Warehouse as a Warehouse Clerk, where you'll be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse by performing a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of warehouse processes to meet operational and customer satisfaction goals. What you’ll do here:

  • Receiving and Processing Shipments Unloading Trucks: Safely unloading goods from delivery vehicles. Inspection: Checking items for damage or defects upon arrival. Documentation: Verifying and recording shipments against packing slips or invoices.
  • Inventory Management Sorting: Organizing goods into appropriate storage locations. Stocking Shelves: Placing items in designated areas. Inventory Tracking: Using inventory management systems to track stock levels and update records.
  • Order Fulfillment Picking Orders: Selecting items based on customer or production orders. Packing: Safely and securely packing items for shipment. Labeling: Printing and attaching shipping labels.
  • Warehouse Maintenance Organization: Keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Safety Checks: Ensuring that equipment, such as forklifts, is in good working condition. Compliance: Following safety protocols and regulations.
  • Equipment Operation Forklift Operation: Using forklifts or pallet jacks to move heavy items. Conveyor Systems: Operating machinery to transport goods within the warehouse.
  • Communication and Coordination teamwork: Collaborating with other team members to meet deadlines. Reporting: Communicating inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
  • Additional Duties
  1. Quality Control: Inspecting outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
  2. Returns Handling: Processing returned items and updating inventory.
  3. Cycle Counting: Conducting regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.

What you bring to the table:

  • Inventory Management - Familiarity with inventory control systems (e.g., WMS software).
  • Knowledge of stock rotation methods like FIFO (First In, First Out).
  • Equipment Operation - Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Certification in forklift operation.
  • Order Fulfillment - Experience with picking, packing, and labeling orders. Understanding of barcoding and scanning systems.
  • Shipping and Receiving - Knowledge of shipping procedures and documentation. Ability to inspect and verify incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Basic Computer Skills - Proficiency in using warehouse software and basic office tools (e.g., Excel, email).
  • Physical Skills - Strength and Stamina, Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more). Endurance for standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift. Coordination and Dexterity - Strong hand-eye coordination for operating equipment and handling goods.
  • Safety Awareness - Understanding and following workplace safety protocols.
  • Soft Skills - Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in order picking, packing, and inventory management.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
