This is an on-site positionThe Human Resources (HR) Generalist will play a critical role in fostering positive employee relations across supported business unit(s) while ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with corporate objectives. This position is dedicated to addressing and resolving employee relations matters, cultivating a healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to both employees and management, offering guidance on performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and communication.We Offer• Health, vision, and dental coverage• 401(k)• Short-term disability, voluntary life, critical illness, AD&D, and hospital indemnity• Paid time off (PTO)• Company-paid holidays• Employee discountsKey Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To• Employee and Labor Relations: Lead efforts to address and resolve employee relations concerns such as performance issues, behavioral conflicts, and policy violations. Conduct thorough investigations into grievances, harassment claims, and other employee concerns, providing recommendations for actions and collaborating with supervisors and HR leadership as needed.• Coaching and Counseling: Support managers and supervisors in navigating difficult employee relations situations, including coaching for performance improvement and managing conflict within teams. Provide expert guidance on maintaining a positive workplace culture through effective communication and proactive interventions.• Performance Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), ensuring clear expectations and consistent follow-up. Support managers in conducting regular performance appraisals and managing employee development.• Conflict Resolution and Corrective Action: Work collaboratively with management to address employee issues in a fair, respectful, and legally compliant manner. Assist with the corrective action and termination process, ensuring appropriate documentation and adherence to company policies.• Employee Engagement and Feedback: Facilitate employee feedback sessions and work with management to implement initiatives that improve employee morale and engagement. Maintain detailed records of employee feedback, ensuring follow-up and resolution of issues as necessary.• Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on key topics related to employee relations, including company policies, harassment prevention, conflict resolution, and leadership development. Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires understand company expectations and are set up for success.• Exit Interviews and Outplacement Support: Conduct exit interviews, gather feedback, and assist with the transition process for employees leaving the organization. Provide support for outplacement counseling and ensure smooth exits for employees.• Employee Relations Support: Serve as a resource for employees, answering questions related to benefits, workplace concerns, policies, and procedures. Address any employee concerns or complaints in a timely and empathetic manner, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.• Employee Events and Activities: Participate in company-sponsored events and activities aimed at strengthening team morale and fostering a positive organizational culture. Assist in the organization and implementation of these events, ensuring employee engagement and involvement.Qualifications• Location: This position requires working on-site in Fredericksburg, VA• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience• Required Experience: At least 2 years of Human Resources experience, with a strong focus on employee relations• Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferredThe ideal HR Generalist will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport across diverse teams.
