Data Analyst, E-Commerce Membership

We’re looking for someone who loves mining troves of data and figuring out what it all means. You will support our data science team in building forecasts and models while working closely with the product, merchandising, marketing, and operations departments to translate complex data into digestible, strategic recommendations that drive business performance. You will also play a pivotal role in personalizing monthly product selections for our subscription members. Reporting to our GM of Membership & Data Science, this role provides you room to get creative and make a lasting impact on the business.


In this role, you’ll work out of our NYC office at least 3 days per week.


You will:
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to generate insights
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders, delivering clarity on metrics such as revenue, membership churn, and product performance
  • Support predictive modeling efforts by building datasets for machine learning use cases
  • Work closely with the GM of Membership & Data Science to refine the methods that generate monthly product selections for customers
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Leadership teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by showing immense attention to detail


The ideal candidate:
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in retail or a related field
  • Is advanced in SQL (we use Postgres and BigQuery) and can write complex queries using subqueries, case statements, window functions with ease
  • Is familiar with large-scale datasets
  • Has strong communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Has an analytical mindset with a proactive approach to solving business challenges through data
  • Is results-oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Is a collaborative team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • ideally has experience with Python and Excel
