Manager, Strategic Sourcing (IT Indirect Procurement)

What Strategic Sourcing - Indirect contributes to Cardinal HealthGlobal Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.Strategic Sourcing Indirect is responsible for developing and executing strategy to source indirect goods and services to support our business stakeholders and programs. Perform analysis in order to select supplier and negotiate best value for Cardinal Health. Provide supplier relationship management and contract compliance management, including maximization of financial deliverables and risk mitigation. May work within various procurement systems to execute purchase orders and resolve technical issues as identified.Job SummaryThe Manager, Strategic Sourcing (IT Indirect Procurement) is responsible for developing and executing IT strategies to source labor, hardware and software categories that support our business stakeholders and programs. Perform analysis in order to select supplier and negotiate best value for Cardinal Health. Provide supplier relationship management and contract compliance management, including maximization of financial deliverables and risk mitigation. May work within various procurement systems to execute purchase orders and resolve technical issues as identified.Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for Strategic Sourcing and Category Management of Information Technology Labor, Hardware and Software- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with business units to ensure alignment with business unit and sourcing strategy objectives- Consult with stakeholders to create best contractual outcome including strong legal and business terms and meaningful performance indicators and/or service levels.- Negotiate, finalize, and advise on the contract documents with support from risk management, legal, finance, and other key internal stakeholders.- Develop strong supplier relationships to drive effectiveness and value against the planned strategies; facilitate supplier reviews; generate continuous improvement ideas.- Facilitate and coordinate activities associated with the execution of the sourcing process including, but not limited to, the preparation and execution of a RFx, recommendations based on supplier responses, project summaries/business case results, supplier communication, etc.- Develops and executes savings opportunities, efficiencies, and process improvements- Perform other duties as assignedQualifications- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred- 8-12 years of experience, preferred- Strategic sourcing and contract negotiation experience- Strong business and financial acumen- Experience with various sourcing and procurement tools (i.e. SAP Ariba) preferredLocation- Remote, work from homeWhat is expected of you and others at this level- Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals- Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models- Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope- Projects may have significant and long-term impact- Provides solutions which may set precedent- Independently determines method for completion of new projects- Receives guidance on overall project objectives- Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated salary range: $103,500-$147,900Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.- Medical, dental and vision coverage- Paid time off plan- Health savings account (HSA)- 401k savings plan- Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay- Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)- Short- and long-term disability coverage- Work-Life resources- Paid parental leave- Healthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 01/07/2025 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
