Screening Conduct Specialist Team Leader

Essential Functions
  • Thoroughly review and understand the specification sheet and protocol for each study.
  • Complete screening worksheets.
  • Evaluate study specifications to determine inclusion and exclusion criteria and qualify participants accurately according to the requirements.
  • Responsible for Scheduling Staff and coordinate screening team availability in accordance with screening and clinic workload.
  • Act as liaison between screening and other departments.
  • Regularly review and update the progress of screening staff to ensure alignment with goals and performance metrics.
  • Attend and participate in study initiation meetings and/or dry run meetings.
  • Manage staffing requests by opening requisitions for new hires.
  • Obtain screening requisitions from clinical laboratory.
  • Order screening supplies and prepare supplies as needed.
  • Serve as backup for screening conduct (CCA, CCT) as needed.
  • Assist in clinic by performing conduct events when needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data is collected throughout the screening process.
  • Determine if inconsistencies exist in the inclusion/exclusion specification.
  • Oversee and ensure proper deliver all screening samples to the clinical lab.
  • Maintain screening/Check in area and ensure it is clean and ready for events.
  • Train new hires on the screening process.
  • Perform and lead  staff meetings and drive problem resolution
  • Perform quality control functions.
  • Research study specific conditions and procedures.
  • Assist admissions staff (medical history packet review and entry, check-in and checkout participants at screening etc) and perform other limited admissions duties as needed.
  • Review and revise training plans and SOPs.
  • May be responsible for staff management in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; development and coaching of employees.


Job Purpose
  • Perform and oversee procedures necessary to screen study participants during pre-study events relating to the enrollment of participants into studies. Act as team leader to the screening staff


Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Previous Screening Conduct Experience
**Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
