Part-time Cleaning Professional - Boston, MA

CIC is seeking trustworthy, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as part-time Cleaning Professionals. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen areas and event spaces at our CIC Boston and CIC Cambridge locations.


Part-time Cleaning Professional (2 Open Roles – Boston & Cambridge)

Location: CIC Boston (50 Milk Street) or CIC Cambridge (One Broadway)

Compensation: $20/hour

Schedule: Weekdays only, approx. 20 hours/week (3:00 PM start, 4–4.5 hour shifts)


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Daily careful cleaning of all kitchen surfaces and appliances, including floors, chairs, counters, water machines, and underneath countertop appliances.

• Periodic cleaning of event spaces (tables, chairs, floors, trash and recycling).

• Checking areas that don’t need daily cleaning and cleaning when needed (spaces such as inside of freezers, refrigerators, drawers, and cabinets).

• Running dishwashers and putting away clean dishware and utensils on a daily basis. 

• Daily maintenance and cleaning of coffee machines, and a monthly deep clean.

• Refilling of kitchen dish soap/hand soap/lotion dispensers.

• Providing client-specific kitchen tasks as requested.

• Keeping inventory of cleaning supplies and requesting more supplies as necessary.

• Maintaining communication with supervisor and operations teams.

• Performing all tasks in compliance with CIC policies and procedures.

You are a balanced, self-confident individual who knows how to work safely, efficiently, and effectively as part of a team but with a lot of independence. 


You are:

• Reliable and able to work independently.

• Detail oriented, organized, and possess solid time management skills.

• Comfortable working on your feet and being on the move.

• Able to read and understand simple instructions and short messages in English.

• Those fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese are encouraged to apply! This team is made up of Spanish and Portuguese speakers.

• Starting compensation is $20/hour.
