Clearco Overview

Clearco is the non-dilutive working capital solution for e-commerce businesses in the United States. Clearco’s unique Invoice Funding product allows companies to access funding for invoices and receipts for inventory, marketing expenses, shipping, and logistics. Clearco offers capped weekly payments and does not require collateral or personal guarantees from its customers. Founded in 2015, Clearco has funded over 10,000 businesses with $2.5BN invested. 

Position Overview

The Chief Revenue Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer as part of the Executive Leadership Team. The Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for defining and maintaining Clearco’s overall revenue strategy, determining the organizational structure of the go-to-market teams, and designing and launching revenue-generating programs. The role requires collaboration and alignment with other ELT members in support of the revenue function, and Clearco's wider strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

Define Revenue Strategy

  • Define our ideal buyers, select our target markets, and set top-down objectives and metrics that meet our goals and target unit economics.

  • Partner with marketing and the ELT to establish Clearco’s competitive differentiation and build go-to-market (GTM) strategies to support Clearco’s Invoice Funding offering.

  • Develop brand and value proposition positioning that articulates the solutions and products portfolio, corporate brand message, and value differentiators.

  • Craft sales and demand generation strategies, including programs to maximize revenue performance from existing and prospective customers.

  • Establish the go-to-market model including how to access customers, and organize our sales, customer success, and partnership teams to maximize performance.

  • Build and oversee a revenue model that combines our target market opportunity with the historical, and future, expected performance of our GTM teams.

Construct, Integrate, and Oversee GTM functions

  • Implement predictable, repeatable, and scalable sales, customer success, partnership, marketing, revops, and enablement processes.

  • Attract, hire, train, and retain top talent across all departments.

  • Build a highly performance-driven sales culture that emphasizes individual accountability and responsibility.

  • Use technology and data analytics to inform targeted buyer engagement strategies.

  • Own accountability for the measurement and oversight of critical metrics that will determine the success of our sales and marketing teams.

  • Take full responsibility for the forecasting and reporting of the revenue teams on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Partner with internal teams including product, risk, legal, and finance to define customer needs. 

  • Maintain business ownership of the revenue technology stack including demand generation, salesforce automation / CRM, digital channels (web and social), business intelligence, and data management.

Execute Revenue Programs

  • Drive demand generation, new sales, customer success (incl. retention and upsell), enablement, and revops teams to sell and support products and services that result in meeting and exceeding our targets.

  • Execute target sales and expansion plans using content, programs, and thought leadership to build awareness and generate demand with target customers, industry participants, and influencers.

  • Craft and manage closed-loop sales programs and processes to drive predictable lead conversions.

  • Optimize day-to-day demand generation and sales activities driving buyer engagement to optimize revenue conversion performance.

Requirements

  • Experience selling or leading a sales organization focused on financial or capital products is not a prerequisite, but it is preferred.

  • The role can be remote but will require frequent attendance at the Clearco HQ in Toronto.

  • Exposure and proof in the growth curve of a Company, especially from early to mid-stage forward.

  • Demonstrable leadership experience in Direct and Channel Sales with a track record of significant, predictable revenue growth for a quickly growing company or a division, (turnaround or rebuild experience a plus).

  • Proven success in past leadership roles, growing teams, developing people, accelerating revenue, and driving career pathing.

  • A clear ability to lead teams in meeting deadlines and exceeding goals.

  • Experience managing remote teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Exceptional direct sales skills.

  • High levels of integrity and judgment.

  • A tireless, resilient, competitive mentality. You are a motivated, confident, determined professional.

Compensation

  • The salary or OTE range for this position is $400,000 - $500,000.
