IT Technician

With our state-of-the-art technology and dedicated team of experts, we are rapidly becoming a leader in the cybersecurity industry. The IT Technician position will work in our McLean, VA office Monday - Thursday with the flexibility of remote work on Friday.

Responsibilities

    1. Laptop Building:
      • Assemble and configure laptops according to company specifications.
      • Install and update operating systems and software applications.
      • Ensure all laptops meet security and performance standards.
    2. Asset Tracking:
      • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets.
      • Track the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
      • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of equipment.
    3. User Account Creation:
      • Create and manage user accounts in various systems.
      • Set up email accounts and access permissions.
      • Ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols.
    4. First Level Help Desk Ticket Management:
      • Respond to and resolve first-level support tickets in a timely manner.
      • Provide technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
      • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.
    5. Hardware Troubleshooting:
      • Diagnose and repair hardware issues with laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
      • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on IT equipment.
      • Collaborate with vendors for warranty repairs and replacements
      • Some experience configuring and maintaining desktop computers.
      • Experience supporting Windows and macOS.  Linux experience is a plus.
      • Experience with (or applicable training for) Microsoft 365 cloud services (including Intune).
      • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Experience with asset management and tracking tools preferred.
      • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
