Job Description

  • Title: Delegate Sales Specialist
  • Target Start Date: April 2025
  • Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 Base Salary + Commission (OTE: $140,000)

About the Role

As a Delegate Sales Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of driving attendance and revenue for Money20/20 USA. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who can consistently deliver against objectives and targets while serving as a brand ambassador for one of the most influential events in the financial technology sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed personal revenue targets through proactive outreach to prospective delegates
  • Develop and nurture relationships within the diverse ecosystem of financial services and payments professionals
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Money20/20's value proposition and effectively communicate it to potential attendees
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales progress in our delegate management system
  • Process orders efficiently, manage payments, and ensure a smooth purchasing experience for clients
  • Generate weekly activity reports and analytics to track progress and inform strategy
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Experience, and other Commercial teams to drive overall event success
  • Provide exceptional pre- and post-sale customer service, ensuring a seamless experience from purchase to event attendance

Event Industry Experience

  • Proven history in the events and conferences industry, particularly in financial services or related sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Customer Experience, and Commercial departments
  • Experience in developing and articulating value propositions for key personas within the financial technology and payments ecosystem
  • In-depth understanding of the event lifecycle and delegate acquisition strategies

Sales Expertise

  • Strong track record in direct sales, with proficiency in both phone and email outreach
  • Demonstrated success in delegate sales, preferably for high-profile industry conferences or events
  • Experience in key account management and development of long-term client relationships
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively, especially when dealing with group bookings or VIP attendees
  • Consistent achievement of sales targets and revenue goals
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
