Coface Bucharest Shared Services Center - a constantly growing team of enthusiastic experts covers daily various processes and roles for Coface entities for all European regions. We do service multiple business lines from commercial to finance and technical with our more than 100 people speaking French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Romanian. Job Description

The Intern in Accounting will be able to perform one or more accounting activities in the areas of AR, AP and GL, including but not restricted to :

‣       Perform AP/AR payments and reconciliation

‣       Perform transitory accounts reconciliation and uploads

‣       Post bank statements and journals

‣       Perform reconciliations between sub- and main-ledger

‣        Acts as SPOC for the designated accounting area in front of customer, team lead/manager, SSC Management and external parties

‣          Participates in the creation / update of Finance Standard Operating Procedures used by the SSC operational teams

‣          Is accountable for operations’ accuracy and quality regarding statutory and Group rules and standards

‣          Participate in project work (e.g. lean & optimization topics)

‣          Participate to functional & cross-functional meetings and shares feedback and regular contact with the functional finance team

Qualifications

ducation:

  • Bachelor / Master's degree in Business or Accounting

Experience:

  • First experience in an accounting department

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of accounting  processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Ability to deal with numerous deadlines simultaneously / Multi-tasking
  • Familiarity and ease with varying IT and online software and applications.
  • Knowledge of local GAAP is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of major internal control procedures
  • Experience with SAP S4/Hana is a plus
  • Controlling/tax skills/knowledge is a plus

Languages :

  • Fluent in Italian
  • Fluent in English
  • French – nice to have
