About Cognizant’s Digital Engineering Practice:

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Principal Salesforce Solution Architect to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Work with client business stakeholder’s to help shape their vision of how Salesforce could be used to support the L&A Insurance wholesalers sales process
  • Build overall Technical Architecture for the business applications on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Custom Lightning Components
  • Deliver Salesforce solutions on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud and Lightning platform
  • Build Technical Solution Design using custom re-usable Lightning Components
  • Play technical SME role on projects to design Salesforce Solution design, provide technical walk-through to Salesforce developers and client features owners
  • Provide Technical Leadership on projects by providing necessary guidance to junior team members to follow Salesforce best practices
  • Accountable for Salesforce technical delivery - Build, System Testing handover/co-ordination, Tech. documentation and deployment activities
  • Play lead in reviewing Epics/User-stories, convert functional requirements to technical requirements, Estimate user stories, plan team capacity and work closely with Scrum Master to finalize Sprint scope
  • Manage risks and issues as well as cross dependencies with other teams. Communicate effectively with internal teams and client to address technical design and functional gaps
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, Agile environment
  • Full SDLC designing and implementing Salesforce or other CRM platforms

Required Skill:

  • Previous experience supporting Life and Annuities clients (2 years minimum)
  • 12+ years of Experienced with Salesforce as a whole; Decision making experience between code vs config; Experience in building applications using APEX and Lightning
  • 8+ years of Experience building business solutions using the Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud on Lightning
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Platform custom development using APPEX and Lighting
  • 5+ years of experience with integrations third party applications. 2-3 years of experience in designing and developing Integration Solutions using Web Service API's, REST and SOAP API 's
  • Minimum 3+ year of hands-on experience in Custom Lightning Component development
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Salesforce system implementations in a multi-shared-org ecosystem
  • 3+ years of experience team(s) responsible for strategic planning, Technology relationship management
  • Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience (at least 1 or more of the following five Salesforce modules: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Communities and knowledge)
  • Hands on development experience using Salesforce configuration and customizations using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Scheduled and Batch classes etc.,
  • Development experience in UI technologies like Bootstrap, Lightning Design System (LDS), Lightning Components Development, AngularJS, jQuery, JavaScript would be a plus
  • Proven integration experience using integration techniques - REST, SOAP APIs, Auth and Single Sign-On
  • Experience with design and execution of technology best practices
  • Experience working cross matrixed teams, local and offshore
  • Salesforce Certification with 4-5 years of experience with Salesforce Platform
  • Salesforce Certifications

  • Strong Expertise in configuring Custom Objects & Fields, Validation Rules, Workflow's, Process Builder, APEX Sharing rules, Flows & Approval Processes & Reports and Dashboards
  • Experience in deployment/ packaging using Change Sets, Eclipse, Ant scripts & Metadata API
  • Experience with data loads using Bulk API's
  • Experience with full cycle SFDC implementation, from design through deployments
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint-based project delivery
  • Ability to work closely with functional team to understand business needs and technical teams to deliver system architecture and code that meets business requirements
  • Ability to guide team(s) to ensure application configurations are of highest standard & meet business needs
  • Ability to help mitigate any potential roadblocks for the teams as well as anticipate potential project related problems
  • Responsible for obtaining accurate estimates for functional and technical designs, development and testing and training efforts
