Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Accounting Lead to join our growing finance team. This is a hands-on role reporting into the Head of Finance where you will take ownership of critical accounting processes, help build scalable systems, and support our transition to a new ERP system. Candidates with a CPA designation and Big 4 public accounting experience will thrive in this position.
As we grow, you’ll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and contribute to the development of best-in-class financial operations for a tech-enabled wealth management platform.
What you’ll do:
General Accounting Operations:
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for all key accounts.
System Implementation & Optimization:
Lead the implementation of a new ERP system, partnering with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
Ensure smooth data migration, user training, and ongoing process optimization.
Financial Controls & Compliance:
Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Prepare documentation for audits and assist in coordinating audit engagements.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, and technology, to support company goals.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial processes and workflows.
Competencies and skills:
Experience: 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience in a tech or financial services environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation strongly preferred.
ERP Expertise: Hands-on experience with ERP systems; prior experience with ERP transitions is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in US GAAP, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
Mindset: Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude. Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
