About You


Nutrafol is seeking a highly-motivated and versatile Content Creator to support our growth efforts on TikTok. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for content creation (including being on camera themselves), writing, and connecting with people on an emotional level, and must have experience in rapid content creation. This role will report to our Director of Social Media as part of the Community team, and collaborate closely with Paid Social, PR, Influencer Marketing, CX/Customer Reputation, and Creative team members to achieve cross-functional success. 


This is a contract position for approximately 30-40 hours/week; with an initial length of three (3) months. There is potential for a contract extension and/or potential to convert to a Full-Time, benefitted role in the future. 


While Nutrafol is primarily a remote workplace, this role requires candidates be located within reasonable commuting distance of NYC, as the team expects to capitalize on opportunities for impromptu content capture 1-2x/week in-office or on-location for creative, product, or brand events.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Support the execution of Nutrafol’s social strategy on TikTok to drive engagement and brand awareness
  • Gain a deep understanding of Nutrafol and Nutrafol Men as brands and infuse knowledge into content from visual, tone, and story-telling perspectives
  • Work in tandem with the community team on content creation and planning for TikTok, including caption writing and video creation, against varying measurable objectives: driving thought leadership, acquiring new audiences, product discovery, and viewership
  • Continuously brainstorm and execute new ways to engage our TikTok audience while communicating core brand messaging
  • Develop bi-weekly content calendars and edit to meet brand initiatives, standards, and guidelines
  • Stay up to date on platform trends and jump in while they’re hot by creating videos featuring yourself, our products, and/or members of our team
  • Conduct ongoing research projects on key industry trends and create competitive content insight reports to leverage findings into the development and execution of new ideas and innovations
  • Continuously research our target audience and become the expert on where they are and what they want to see on TikTok
  • Work in tandem with the paid social media team to assist on creation of paid and spark ads and assess possibilities of repurposing ad and influencer content for organic use
  • Work with content creators and influencers from content ideation to budget negotiation to execution to posting
  • Manage and strategize the best use of our TikTok content creation budget
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support all marketing efforts, including but not limited to: influencer activations, product launches, PR efforts, and brand campaigns
  • Monitor, analyze and report on content metrics and insights to propose effective strategies for platform growth and enhanced views and engagement

 

Requirements:


  • 2-3 years relevant social media or content creation experience featuring yourself as talent
  • Deep understanding of TikTok as a channel 
  • Understanding of how to shoot and edit out of the app – our ideal candidate loves video editing, trying new tricks and thinking about how to engage and entertain TikTok users
  • Familiarity with social analytics and planning tools (e.g. Dash Hudson)
  • Live and breathe all things social media (especially TikTok), keeping up with the latest trends, best practices, and testing new platforms and features
  • Strong attention to detail, an eye for elevated content, and effective time & project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to establish effective relationships at all levels within the company
  • Highly creative with a passion for the wellness, beauty, and lifestyle space
  • Self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and strong conceptual and decision-making skills
  • Availability to occasionally work on-site, capturing content capture content in or near our NYC headquarters.


Preferred:


  • Experience working with direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand(s)
  • Proficiency with a range of Adobe Creative Products (Photoshop, Illustrator) 

Please Note: This is a contract position which is not benefits-eligible; however, a brief summary of Nutrafol's perks & benefits are provided below for your understanding, should the role convert to a salaried & benefitted position in future.


The hourly rate for this role is $40-$50 USD/hour
