Job Description

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Responsible for operating machine, exchange of pallets, rubber containers, and trolleys, sequencing,  control panel operations and recipe weight measurements.
  • Responsible for marking and identifying compounds, including special markings for Halobutyl, B460, and clean out compounds.
  • Responsible for handling, transporting and storage of materials and compounds.
  • Responsible for batch release of rework compounds.
  • Possess and apply problem solving skills in case of machine cycle issues.
  • Read specifications, use hand tools, and gauging devices, to monitor current and ongoing product quality.
  • React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur.
  • Perform actions with a control panel interface, both automatic and manual.
  • Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions: as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements.
  • Communicate with other inbound and outbound operators, production operators, and supervisors.
  • Drives forklifts and operate other material handling equipment and is responsible for the proper care and safe operation of the material handling equipment.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the shift leaders or management team.
  • Demonstrate the characteristics of 5S Care and Inspect to keep work areas and machines neat, clean, aligned, orderly and maintained

 

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Work Keys- Applied Math-3, Graphic Literacy-3, Workplace Documents-3
  • HS diploma /GED
  • 1-3 year experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Forklift driving experience preferred
  • Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts – days, nights, and weekends.

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. 
  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. 
  • The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating a forklift, with comprehensive training provided.
