Junior IT Systems Administrator

The six-member IT team is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and seamless operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. They handle a wide range of tasks, including implementing new technologies, working on various IT projects, setting up and maintaining infrastructure, managing the network, implementing cybersecurity measures, backing up data, monitoring, integrating systems, automating processes, optimizing performance, overseeing user accounts and computers, and troubleshooting issues.


The following technologies and tools are commonly used by the team: Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems, Google Workspace, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, virtualization software such as VMware and AWS, scripting languages like Python and Bash, MDM solutions such as Mosyle and Tanium, and network devices including Fortinet, HPE Aruba and Ubiquiti.

In this role, you will
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer systems and servers
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems, including LAN/WAN networks, hardware, software, and office systems
  • Manage user accounts and permissions
  • Oversee and manage the IT service desk operations using Jira Service Management
  • Customize and maintain Jira workflows, screens, permissions, and notifications according to project and team needs
  • Manage IT inventory of hardware, software, and resources


What you will bring
  • Some experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and server environments
  • Experience with IAM tools and platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or network issues swiftly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Lithuanian and English. Ability to provide clear and concise technical assistance to non-technical users
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently to deliver results
  • Understanding of security principles and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems
  • Knowledge of Jira Service Management for managing IT service desk operations is beneficial
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools is beneficial

Salary range: € 1500 - 2000 gross / month
